Debt Free at 27 - Series II


In Series I of Debt Free at 27, I gave you a breakdown of the logical ways that I saved money, smart moves I made with money, and examples of how I had fun with my money all while investing…. BUT if saving money, budgeting and working hard was all it took, I would be cheating you!!


This is the most addicting habits you will ever create for yourself. JUST FYI.



Here we go again with this “Abundance” bullshit. But hey, it’s worked for me and the most successful people in every industry you can think of. Trust me, I have done my research and chatted with some pretttyyyy financially successful and happy people…not ONE of these people have a scarcity mindset when it comes to money or anything else for that matter. They now live freely without stressing over money, such a silly thing to stress about. (I know you think I’m crazy for saying that, but call me crazy all you want).


Let’s get to it :)



MINDSET: Living in Fear



When you think of money and your financial situation, do you suddenly feel stressed? Reflect on this, do you limit yourself simply because you believe that there is not enough money?


Now, don’t get me wrong, I don’t mean go running around throwing money left and right on unnecessary things. I’m speaking in a sense of living in fear. If you go through life with a scarcity mindset with money, you are holding yourself back.


You’re restricting, limiting, stressing yourself. You are not allowing room for abundance by hyper focusing on the amount of money you don’t have, and you begin creating a belief that there are not enough resources/opportunities for more flow of money. Now, let me ask you THIS question….


HOW IS THAT GOING FOR YOU, SIS?


I can’t even begin to tell you what stress and negative energy does to your organs, your brain, and how it holds you back from your full potential. I’ll just put it like this, you are becoming your own worst enemy.


(Note: LOL my mama used to tell me this when I used the time to do my homework to PRETEND like I was doing my homework or just cry because I just didn’t want to…and I could have used alllll that time wisely.)

Anyways, when you are creating this internal stressful environment you will literally make yourself sick. You lose your hair, break out, gain weight, create digestive issues, inflammation in your body, hormonal imbalances, and CAN ACTUALLY PREVENT clear thinking.


Guess what this means….You aren’t able to show up as your best self at your job, as a friend, mom, wife/husband.



You are blocking your creative thinking, and your creative side of thinking is what brings in more ideas of how to create income for yourself (#abundance) in ways you would never think of in a stressful state.


Here’s a good example>>I encouraged a client who was under a lot of stress to create morning routine that she thoroughly enjoyed and brought her to a ‘Zen’ state or the present moment. Something that distracted her mind from the rest of the world, work, stress, everything but that moment. She mentioned that she loves to draw and she never does that anymore….You know what she does now?


She wakes up early enough to allow herself time to get ready at her own pace. She brews her coffee, takes out her sketch pad, grabs her favorite pencil, sets up her phone to live stream and she draws. People pay $5 to subscribe to her channel to watch her draw. She does this before her night shift. She sets a good tone for her day and made a little income!


When you live in fear you are holding yourself back. You are afraid to take a risk, to invest into things (coaching, stocks (the right ones), accountants, social or networking events, supplies for your business, etc.) that have a bigger return than the investment, to take a leap of faith that could be your path of more flow of money and bigger opportunities.


This topic goes back to series one when I mentioned that I was paying more on my student loans than I had signed up for, invested in health and wellness coaching so I could FEEL good to show up for me, investing in my holistic gut practitioner program for current and new clients, paying to go to networking events, buying new material to perform faster and better for business. These are just examples.


Ultimately, living in fear and a stressful state could mean more money to spend on doctors’ visits because you’ve quite literally made yourself sick, wasting precious time crying or stressing, and blocking your clear and/or creative thinking that could lead to more flow of money - working smarter not harder!


A few ways to help you shift from scarcity to abundance mindset is to remind yourself that money is made every day, you can make money any time you want by doing what you like or picking up a quick side hustle, you have the resources you need to make money.


What you put out, you receive. Donating your money &/or time to other people, organizations are so important when it comes to “making money” or should I say, “attracting money”. You will probably say, but what if I don’t have any myself. Even if it is just a dollar or one hour of your time volunteering at your local animal shelter, food bank, or helping your neighbor with an errand.

LAW OF ATTRACTION: See Money as Energy


Okay this is a FUN one and you’re going to want to act on this ASAP!


This is when your creative and positive energy comes into play, babe! Let me first explain exactly what the law of attraction is and what this will do for you, and then I will give you some steps to follow through….Take action on this and watch shit happen for you, whether it is now or later.


Briefly explained….


You are magnetic. You are THE MAGNET of what you want in life. You create these feelings inside of you that are so strong that you begin to LITERALLY attract everything you desire. Just Google “Law of Attraction” and read a little bit about it.


I did this and manifested things like free exotic vacations (someone literally asked me to go on a all paid for trip and of course I went…), THE PERFECT DOG FOR ME (The craziest story of my life, I swear it…on the exact day I had visualized. I will use this an example in a few paragraphs.), the EXACT income I visualized and wrote down every single day for 27 days, becoming DEBT FREE (wanted this in 2021 but the first week of 2022 was okay with me), the EXACT number of total sales between me and another coach in our business, an affordable and long lasting car (2012 Ford Focus – good condition with 40,000 miles on it for $6,800…couldn’t beat it).


You create your own reality not by focusing on the things you DON’T have and how you wish you had other things in life but by acting and FEELING as if you already have those things and raising your frequency TODAY. I’ll give you an example and show you how to do this with money.


How I attracted my Khloe Girl.

I had a feeling in me that I was destined to have a loyal and loving companionship in my life soon, I wasn’t sure how soon, but I just had this odd feeling. I didn’t go searching for a pup but I began researching the type of pup; I decided that a spaniel or Australian shepard was the perfect breed for my lifestyle. My roommate randomly pulls up Petfinder one morning and showed me the very first pup that came up, her name is Khloe. She is a spaniel aussie mix.







- I wrote down my July goals on a sticky note on my vison board.

- I wrote down “Khloe” as my #1 goal.

- I visualized every morning in my floor on my mediation cushion us walking on the beach, playing fetch, I created the feelings that I already missed her for 10 minutes every day.

- The application and adoption process was LONG and the agency warned me that many others had applied to adopt her. I did not give up and was so confident that she would be with me by July 1st.

- I bought her collar, leash, and custom name tag in the meantime. There was another person who had successfully gone through the adoption process but last minute decided it wasn’t the right time for them.

- On July 1, 2021 they called me to notify that I could meet Khloe and take her home. On July 2, 2021, they send me the adoption agreement (see below)

STEPS TO CREATE THE LAW OF ATTRACTION:

#1 Create a vision board of everything you want in life, not just money, but what that money will do for you. For me it was financial freedom. You can do this on Pinterest or a poster board full of words and photos that create the feelings of what those things and lifestyle would bring you! If you are focused on creating a flow of income, have words and affirmations of beliefs that you acquire to reach your goals. Have photos of things and adventures that you want to have or happen.


#2 Look at this EVERY morning and sit with those feelings for a hot minute. Sit down, close your eyes and VISUALIZE your desired lifestyle and creating the feelings and beliefs that you HAVE them! EX: I visualized my “FedLoan” account number as $0 for remaining payment, the amount of money in my savings account, purchasing a new car with no reservations, the feelings of no stress and no pressure.


#3 Reframing your belief system, this is hard and takes time!! We have so many self-limiting beliefs that hold us back from showing up for yourself and performing at our very best. You have the power to change this for yourself. (Refer to my Allowing the Flow of Abundance blog!)


EX: “I don’t have any money” “I don’t have the skills to accomplish…” “I am not capable of…” “I am not worthy of…” >>> “There is an abundance of money” “I have all of the skills and resources to accomplish…” “I am capable of…” “I am more than worthy of…”


#4 Affirmations and goal setting. State your affirmations every single day. There is so much power in saying positive and powerful words aloud to yourself and BELIEVING them. If you say it enough, you will believe it, and it WILL happen for you! (Note: don’t’ just say them, actually feel them!)


Write down mini goals every day, these goals should be small action goals that will help you reach you BIG goals! Reflect on this, what small actions should you take every day that will help you make those big dreams a reality?! This could be stating affirmations, waking up earlier, drinking more water, exercising, reading a self-development book, dedicating 30 minutes a day to search for a side hustle!


Lastly, Create a Morning Routine: Setting the Tone



Don’t roll your eyes! I’m so serious, this is what helps you create your positive feelings, sets the proper tone for your day and allows the fresh opportunities to flow to you! If you are rushing out of the door with coffee spilling on your shirt, a donut half way in your mouth and yelling in the phone “I gotta go, I’m late!”…That ain’t it, sis.

You are not starting your day in a present state and once again you are creating negative and rushed feelings within your body. Start your day taking your time, looking at and feeling your goals, practicing gratification, meditation, etc.


You don’t have to do all of it and you can do whatever feels good to you each day, you don’t have to do the same thing every single day! Just start your day off without the chaoticness LOL.


Once again, the most successful people in the world take care of their energy first before answering to anyone else. Remember, every morning won’t be the same and it’s okay for you to not always “be on top of it”! It’s the consistency over time, just like exercising!
